The self-help treatment program in the book teaches you all the simple approaches and methods based on the new medical philosophy, which are totally natural, comfortable and drug-free, with no side effects and with very little cost. Newly published in 2008, this book has been highly valued by medical professionals, media, as well as patients in many countries. The authors of this book were invited to give presentation on this book at the annual conference of the Scientific and Medical Network in Geneva, Switzerland, in July 2008. Comments from the Medical Professionals: "It will be of great interest to practitioners with an interest in psychosomatic disorders and the elaboration of a new philosophy of medicine. The analysis makes a great deal of sense and provides a promising basis for moving forward on both practical and theoretical fronts." (Excerpts from a book review originally published in Journal of the Scientific and Medical Network , ISSN 1362-1211, No. 97, Summer 2008, p. 67) David Lorimer, Editor of Journal of the Scientific and Medical Network, UK "I like the overall philosophy." Professor Brian Berman, M.D., Director of Center for Integrative Medicine, University of Maryland, USA "The Triple Process Remedy presents Dr. Sun's provocative and innovative approach for treating anxiety disorders... Dr. Sun has succeeded in deepening our understanding of process philosophy and its possible application for treating anxiety disorders. He provides an array of alternative strategies and techniques for combating anxiety disorders. Dr. Sun also asks us to question our belief in the mainstream approach to treating anxiety disorders. I strongly urge anyone who suffers from an anxiety disorder to read this book even if you are under the care of a physician. The book contains practical, common sense recommendations and strategies to help manage or even cure anxiety disorders." (Excerpts from a book review by Dr. Billy C Johnson. For the full book review, please see Book Review IV) Billy C Johnson, M.D., Ph.D., Medical Practitioner, President of Ultimate Health Plus, USA Comments from the Media: "In any case the thesis is that the three mainstream treatments of anxiety disorders - psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and prescribed medication - are based upon a faulty model: 'Research on illness and disease tends to treat the living body as a dead body, a mechanical machine and an assemblage of decomposable parts. Medical researchers try to understand the living whole by analyzing the disconnected and inorganic parts.' As the authors point out, when medical theory is established, it is highly abstracted. This theory (under the name of science) becomes an authority first, then a fashion and then a dogma to which the majority of physicians subscribe. Finally it becomes a faith-doctors not only believe in it, but impose it on their patients. Revisiting the original theory involves questioning its assumptions and examining other possibilities-not something those who are part of the existing medical franchise are likely to do." "This book, on the other hand, treats the human body as a systemic whole: '…a unification of interrelated and cooperative functional systems working together in ongoing processes.' As a consequence humans are part of nature and our ever-changing environment directly affects the health of the mind and body. What does this mean in terms of people now afflicted? The answer, I think, is not to give up. Current forms of treatment in reality have worked for only a small percent of those suffering from stress, anxiety and depression, but follow 'The 3 N Formula' [the Triple Process Remedy] and you can drastically increase your chances of leading a healthy life." "As to who will bring about a reexamination of the problem on a larger scale, hopefully this book will find its way into the hands of those who form public opinion in political, educational and commercial communities as well as those unhappy with the status quo within health care. "The Triple Process Remedy" offers an in depth look at an iceberg we have only seen the tip of until now." (Excerpts from a book review originally published by BookReview.com on April 28, 2008) John Lehman, founder and original publisher of Rosebud, USA "A unique, innovative and intriguing approach to treating anxiety disorders." "Dr. Sun deserves our attention for he offers some incisive insights that may cause us to rethink the present-day treatments of anxiety disorders." Dear Reader: If you suffer from the illnesses of stress, anxiety and depression, you are certainly not alone. It is estimated that more than 30-40% of people over the world have the same sufferings. Like a cold, stress and anxiety disorders are among the most common illnesses in the world. However, unlike a cold that is curable, under current mainstream treatments, stress and anxiety disorders mostly are left uncured. Current treatments, through prescribed anti-depressant and anti-anxiety medications, psychodynamic psychotherapy and cognitive-behavioural therapy, and some supplementary therapies, all have shown very limited healing effects. Warning: if you are misled by current understandings and treatments, your sufferings could be life long!! For example, on 26th February 2008, major media around the world like BBC, the Times and CNN widely reported a significant research finding on the effect of antidepressants. This very new study jointly conducted by scholars in UK, USA and Canada reveals that antidepressants like selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) have no effect for most of patients who suffer from depression and might only have little effect for those who are very severely depressed. This peer-reviewed research was published in PLoSMedicine on 26th February 2008. The research findings strongly support the claim made by the experts at the Process Centre. In the book The Triple Process Remedy: A New Philosophy on Illnesses of Stress, Anxiety and Depression , our experts pointed out that even the best medication of antidepressants has only a similar effect to that of placebo (a sugar-coated "dummy" pill). Our experts also confirmed that antidepressants may be of a little use for patients with severe anxiety and depression: "…for severe anxiety disorders, patients may take prescribed medications initially (but cautiously) within a relatively short period as a transition, to control serious symptoms" (p. 116). But they should never rely on antidepressants for a long time, as the worse is that those medications may have serious side effects like suicide and overweight (p. 25). Why are the current treatments of stress and anxiety disorders so disappointing? Is there anything wrong with current treatment methods? With more than a decade's research and exploration, our leading experts at The Process Centre have now revealed that the limitations of current treatments are due to fundamental misunderstanding of the causes and mechanisms of stress and anxiety disorders. Serious flaws are found in modern medical philosophy in general and contemporary theories on stress and anxiety disorders in particular. For example, the traditional theoretical pitfalls in medicine lead to a number of misunderstandings about stress and anxiety disorders, such as that anxiety disorders are not a health problem, or an anxiety disorder is only a thought problem, a mental problem, a brain problem, or a problem with brain chemicals. All those assumptions, though very popular among medical professionals and patients, are incorrect, according to our experts' research. They are "mental traps", misleading people in understanding the true causes and mechanisms of illnesses. Warning: The following views are all incorrect, and if you believe in those, you could not cure the illnesses of stress, anxiety and depression!! Misperception 1: It is not a health problem Our experts: This is completely wrong. An anxiety disorder is an important sign of an illness due to the fundamental changes of the body's life processes. It is an initial warning signal of the body's deterioration. If this illness is left untreated or treated inappropriately, more serious problems may follow - such as heart disease, cancer, stroke, and diabetes. Misperception 2: It is only a mental problem Our experts: An anxiety disorder is not just a mental problem, but fundamentally a body problem. There are some substantial changes in the body that fundamentally affect the mind. The affected mind may in turn generate negative effects on the body and worsen the body conditions. The mind and the body are inseparable. Misperception 3: It is only a brain problem Our experts: An anxiety disorder is closely related to the brain's nervous system and to the mind. But it is not purely a brain problem, such as the dysfunction of the brain's nervous system. It actually is related to the whole body and problems with body conditions. Misperception 4: It is only a body problem Our experts: An anxiety disorder is not purely a body problem as well, as the body is not living in isolation or in a vacuum. The disorder is fundamentally related to the macro living system surrounding the body and other factors, such as lifestyle and drugs, affecting the body. Misperception 5: It is a mental disease Our experts: In most cases, an anxiety disorder is not a mental disease, such as psychosis. Psychosis has more complicated reasons. An anxiety disorder is more simply an illness related to the sources of stress, the body conditions, and the living processes. Misperception 6: It is only a sensational issue Our experts: An anxiety disorder is not just a sensational issue, such as strong feelings of fear and worry, though such feelings are among the symptoms. In fact, those feelings are a reflection of some substantial changes of, and problems with, the body conditions. Misperception 7: It is only a thought issue Our experts: An anxiety disorder is not purely a thought issue, such as misperceived information, wrong ideas, or unreal imaginations. Under normal conditions, a thought does not result in an anxiety disorder. If it causes an anxiety disorder, there must be some fundamental reason - energetic weakness with the brain and the body. In most cases, it is mainly related to the body conditions, as the body is not strong enough to resist the pressure of negative thoughts. Misperception 8: It is only a brain chemical issue Our experts: The change of brain chemicals in people with anxiety disorders may be true. But the chemical change may not necessarily be the cause, but could be the result, of anxiety disorders. Furthermore, in people with anxiety disorders, many changes could occur, not just chemical changes, but also biological, electro, magnetic, and other unknown changes-not just changes in the brain, but also changes in the whole body. Therefore, the brain chemical explanation is partial and superficial. Misperception 9: It is not curable Our experts: This is absolutely incorrect. Anxiety disorders are curable. But a complete cure requires a correct understanding of the illness and appropriate remedies. Both contemporary theories on anxiety disorders and the methods of treatment are problematic, which leads to a very low cure rate. Our experiments with The Triple Process Remedy Programme™ have indicated that anxiety disorders can be naturally cured with no side effects and little costs. Breakthrough: The experts in The Process Centre have completed a groundbreaking research on stress and anxiety disorders!! A breakthrough research in this area is a fresh new understanding of human life, health, and illness in general, and stress and anxiety disorders in particular based on process thought medical philosophy-the 21st century medical philosophy . Our experts' much updated research reveals that the human body as a living organism is fundamentally complex, dynamic, interconnected and changeable, due to the energetically acting, reacting, interacting and transacting processes inside and outside the body. The groundbreaking research is centred on several themes: Theme 1 : There is definitely no such a solid and fixed foundation as an atomic chemical entity underpinning and dominating the human body, life, and health ( this is why biological theory is wrong ). The human body is a continuum of energetic processes. Theme 2 : The mind is not an entity either, and the mind and the body are intertwined and inseparable. A mental disorder is not purely a mental issue, but fundamentally a bodily issue ( this is why psychoanalytical theory and cognitive-behavioural theory both are wrong ). Theme 3 : The human body is inseparable from the environment. The body is only a tiny part of the universe and subjected to the patterns and laws of natural processes. Serious illnesses occur because we increasingly break the natural processes and life flow circles in modern times. Theme 4 : Life is a continuously renewing and evolving process: you are immediately born out of your old body every moment. Theme 5 : Illnesses and diseases are fundamentally related to issues with the bodily process. Stress and anxiety disorders are not caused by brain chemicals (e.g., serotonin), or irrational thoughts as traditionally believed, but resulted from three basic problems of the bodily process. Theme 6 : Successfultreatment of stress and anxiety disorders must address the interlinked processual nature of the body/mind and fundamental issues with the bodily process. The Triple Process Remedy™ - the most effective self-help solution to stress and anxiety disorders!! With the discovery of three basic principles of human life and health, two life flow circles , five vital life elements , the fundamental mechanisms of anxiety disorders and their root causes, our experts suggest a comprehensive solution for the sufferers of anxiety disorders.
